Our Story

On July 8, 2009, the sun shined a little brighter and the roses smelled a little sweeter because Bryton Rose and Bentli Grace Saxon came into this world. From their first moments on this earth they were stealing hearts and spreading love.

In March of 2015 Bryton was diagnosed with AML. She then began what would turn out to be an almost 10 month fight. During her stay at Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando and Shands in Gainesville Bryton met many wonderful people who selflessly gave of themselves to bring joy to the children who called the hospital their home. Immediately she and her family knew they wanted to one day give back.  Bry was involved from the beginning by determining the vision, choosing the logo and lastly being our muse. She thought that face painting would be a perfect way to "Bryton" up a kids day and this happened to be something we thought we could actually do. So, just like that, Bryton Up Buttercup was born.

A few short months after Bryton Up Buttercup was born God felt it was time to give Bryton Rose her angel wings. Bryton's sisters, family and friends are all helping to carry out what Rose Petal helped to start. Our vision is to reach as many kiddos as possible and paint away one bad day at a time. Our plan is to start at Shands in Gainesville then move to Nemours Orlando followed by Brevard county but would love to see Bryton Up Buttercup in every facility that has a child. If our Rose Petal could she would want to "Bryton" up as many kids as possible so that is exactly what we are aiming to do.
